About the Founder

Meet Rosa — the heart behind Bouncing Panda

Bouncing Panda was born from a simple belief: that the best time to learn a language is when you're too young to be afraid of getting it wrong.

Rosa's Story

From a love of language to a love of teaching

Rosa Luo grew up with Mandarin as her first language and knows first-hand the doors it opens — in culture, in connection, and in confidence. When she became a parent herself, she looked for a Chinese language programme that would suit young children: one that was playful, age-appropriate, and genuinely engaging. She couldn't find exactly what she was looking for — so she created it.

A qualified early childhood educator

Rosa holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and has over 5 years of experience working with young children, along with over 15 years of experience teaching Chinese.  Her classes are grounded in early childhood best practice, aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and designed by someone who understands how young children actually learn — through play, repetition, music, and movement.

What Rosa brings to every class

Every session Rosa delivers is carefully planned, warmly facilitated, and adapted to the age and energy of the children in the room. She uses songs, games, stories, puppets, movement and cultural celebrations to make Mandarin feel natural — not foreign. Her sessions don't just teach language; they build curiosity, confidence and a genuine love of learning.

Grounded in early childhood best practice

Bouncing Panda’s programs are aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and support the National Quality Standard (NQS), particularly Quality Area 6 (Collaborative partnerships with families and communities) and Element 1.1.2 (A child‑centred program that values culture and diversity). This means every Mandarin session is intentionally designed to help early learning centres demonstrate cultural inclusion while supporting children’s development across five key learning outcomes:

  • Identity — children feel safe, connected and part of the group
  • Community — children develop respect for others and cultural awareness
  • Wellbeing — physical activity and emotional expression are central to every session
  • Learning — curiosity and exploration are encouraged in every activity
  • Communication — language development is at the heart of what we do

By choosing Bouncing Panda, early education services can confidently embed authentic cultural diversity into their program while meeting regulatory expectations under the NQS.
